Dr. Hopewell holds three degrees in Psychology - the Bachelor's from
Texas A & M University and the Master's and Doctorate in Clinical Psychology
from North Texas State University. Received formal Clinical Neuropsychological
training in 1975-1976 during residency at the University of Texas Medical
Branch in Galveston in the Division of Neurosurgery under Harvey Levin, Ph.D.,
ABPP.
Directed the Neuropsychological Laboratory for the 7th U. S. Army throughout
the European Theater and subsequently the Fifth U. S. Army at Brooke Army
Medical Center, Fort Sam Houston, Texas. Served as a Major in the United States
Army Individual Ready Reserve, serving on active duty both in the U.S. as well
as abroad; 20 years USAR - Second Texan to be Board Certified in Clinical
Neuropsychology, ABPP # 3639.
Served on the Board of Directors for the Texas Head Injury Association.
Co-founded the Dallas Chapter of the Dallas Head Injury Association in 1983. Has
authored a number of professional published manuscripts in neuropsychology. Has
been recognized by the Blue Ribbon Research Panel of the Neuropsychological
Division (40) of the American Psychological Association for contributions to the
knowledge of motor vehicle operations after head injury.
Has been awarded the Texas Psychological Association Healthcare
Rehabilitation Award as the Outstanding Clinical Neuropsychologist in Texas for
1990. President and Chief Executive Officer of the Dallas Neuropsychological
Institute, P.C. and Medical Support Psychology Psicologia Clinica Hispana since
